At LEVEL UP STRENGTH & PERFORMANCE, we believe in training like an athlete – regardless if you are playing competitively or not.

Whether you’re an athlete getting ready for your next competitive season or an adult that enjoys playing sports in your spare time, training those athletic qualities is crucial to get better at your sport and maintain your edge! Our training consists of heavy strength training along with fast, explosive movements to work on speed and power development. Using scientifically back training principles, the experiences gathered from coaching at multiple Division 1 Universities, and working with various different sports teams and coaches, training at Level Up Strength & Performance will take you to new heights!

About The OWNER & COACH

A graduate of Rutgers University,

OWNER & COACH DJ ORLANDO earned a B.S. in Exercise Science and Sports Studies in May 2015.

 

Following graduation, COACH DJ had the opportunity to intern with the University of California, Los Angeles Football Strength and Conditioning department where he assisted the strength staff in the speed, strength, and conditioning training of the UCLA Football athletes. 

 

After seven months at UCLA, DJ accepted an internship at Rutgers University. At Rutgers, he assisted in the coaching of various sports teams, including Wrestling, Volleyball, Baseball, Softball, Basketball, and Track and Field.

Upon completion of the Rutgers internship, DJ joined the Fairleigh Dickinson University strength and conditioning staff in September 2017. In this role, DJ was responsible for designing and implementing year-round strength and conditioning programs for Men’s Soccer, Women’s Volleyball, Women’s Fencing, and the Men’s /Women’s Middle/Long Distance group of Track and Field Team. Additionally, DJ assisted in the coaching of the Men’s and Women’s Basketball Teams and the Baseball team. While coaching at FDU, DJ also completed his Master’s degree in Sports Administration.

Shortly after graduating from FDU in 2019, DJ began his position as Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at the Underground Strength Gym. While coaching at Underground, DJ was responsible for all aspects of strength and conditioning for all of the members of the gym. DJ worked with athletes of all ages across multiple sports. In addition to sports performance training, DJ also conducted adult strength and conditioning classes focuses on improving speed, strength, and overall fitness.

 

Coach DJ is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). He is also CPR/First Aid/AED certified through the American Heart Association and Reflexive Performance Reset (RPR) Level 1 certified.
